Buffalo Tempeh "Wing"

Buffalo Tempeh "Wing"

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces tempeh, sliced into 24 strips
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Panko breadcrumbs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. Add 1/2 cup buffalo sauce, chili powder, garlic powder and pepper to a bowl, stir to combine. Add in the tempeh strips and coat evenly. Add into the fridge to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Add the panko breadcrumbs to a bowl and coat on both sides. 
  4. Line a pan with parchment paper and add the tempeh evenly across the pan. Bake the tempeh for 25-30 minutes or until crispy.
  5. Once all of the strips are cooked, add the remaining 1/4 cup of buffalo sauce to the leftover marinade. Add cooked strips to the bowl and toss until coated with sauce.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
