Halloween Chocolate Spider Balls!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 2 teaspoons coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 bag dark chocolate chips
- Bag of pretzel sticks (about 30 of them split into two)
- Optional: bag of candy eyeballs
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the oat flour, honey, almond butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until evenly combined and the dough becomes smooth. Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, but up to an hour.
- Using a small scoop or spoon, roll the dough into 1-inch balls and add them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (about 18 balls will fit).
- In a metal or glass bowl, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil over a saucepan with an inch of water in it. As the water in the saucepan heats, continue to stir the chocolate as it will begin to melt, continue until it becomes smooth.
- Fully dip the balls into the chocolate until they are completely covered, then place them back on the parchment paper. Once they are all coated in chocolate, add them back into the refrigerator for another 30 minutes.
- While those are setting, break apart the pretzels for the spider legs. Add the rest of the melted chocolate into a plastic bag or piping bag and cut off the corner.
- Once the chocolate is set on the balls, pipe the chocolate from the bag onto the pretzels legs and add six of them to each ball to create the legs. If you are using the candy eyes, pipe chocolate onto those as well and glue two eyes to each ball.
- Serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready to be served!
- Happy Halloween! Enjoy!
