Homemade Bagel Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour
- 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 whole egg, beaten
- Optional Toppings: everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking powder. Then, add in the yogurt and mix it together with a fork until it becomes well combined.
- Add some flour onto a clean surface and remove the dough from the dough, knead the dough until it becomes tacky but not sticky.
- Divide the dough into four balls and roll each one into a thick rope and join the ends to create a bagel shape.
- Top the dough with the beaten egg wash and sprinkle on your toppings of choice.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes and let cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting.
- Serve and enjoy!
