Homemade Salsa Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 15 oz. can of fire-roasted tomatoes
  • White onion, chopped, about 1/2 cup
  • 1 clove of garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1 Tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 jalapeno, chopped small
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Drain off about half of the tomato juice from the can and discard.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the garlic until it is finely chopped. Then, add in the canned tomatoes, onion, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeno and salt.
  3. Process the mixture until it is pretty smooth with no huge chunks remaining. Season with more lime juice and salt if necessary for your preference. 
  4. Serve the salsa with chips or save it for later in the fridge. It will stay in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
  5. Enjoy!
